Kostas Tsimikas has agreed to a long-term contract with Liverpool until 2027 Career

Greek defender Kostas Tsimikas joined Liverpool from Olympiacos in the summer of 2020. In his first season with the club, he was unable to play due to a coronary infection and injuries, but since his second season he has been an excellent understudy to Andy Robertson with his overflowing enthusiasm, gutsy style of play, and accurate crossing.

He has recorded 12 assists in 63 games and has played 29 games for the Greek national team. The 27-year-old has agreed to a contract extension until June 2027.

He was delighted to have signed a long-term contract with Liverpool with less than two years left on his previous deal, and said that all his hard work has paid off.

“I feel very glad to be here to extend my contract. I feel like all the sacrifices I did and other things, the work I put in, [that] everything pays off.”

“But this keeps me fully motivated for the rest. As I’ve said in many, many interviews, this team has many, many things to achieve all together and I wanted to be from the first minute a part of it.”
