With the average age of its midfielders increasing and intensity in midfield visibly declining last season, Liverpool began to rebuild its midfield in the summer transfer window.
The team added talented players such as Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Liverpool has been a fierce title contender with Manchester City over the past few seasons, so the team, including manager Jurgen Klopp, understands how to compete for the season.
Noting their strengths, former Arsenal forward Ian Wright has given his side the benefit of the doubt, saying that if they can build their midfield, they will be able to compete at the top of the standings.
