Liverpool in talks with Joao Palhinha's agent, with interests from Man U, Arsenal and Bayern Transfers

Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and other key midfielders from last season have left Anfield. They acquired four midfielders who are now regulars, including Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool is now a contender for the Premier League title, and there are rumors that they may work on further strengthening their midfield. Various names have been reported, including Fluminense midfielder Andre and Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha, who is a member of Fulham, is one such player. According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool has held talks with the player’s agent in order to get out of the battle with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Bayern.

The 28-year-old midfielder has been a mainstay at Fulham this season, making 14 appearances so far. He came close to joining Bayern Munich in the summer transfer market, but was forced to leave Germany for a dragonfly after being unable to secure a replacement.

In the summer of 2022, he left Sporting for London, and despite it being his first challenge in the Premier League, he became an integral part of the team in his first year. His reputation has only grown, and he has become a player that not only Bayern, but also other top English clubs are keen on.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be looking to secure the defensive midfielder this winter. With Joel Matip confirmed to be out for an extended period of time and against the backdrop of their search for a left-handed center back this summer, the top priority position at the moment is center back.

The Portuguese midfielder, who has a contract until 2028 and is reportedly the subject of interest from several clubs, cannot be acquired on the cheap. With a limited budget, we cannot afford to invest a lot of money in a position where we will have the number of players we need once Stefan Bajcetic and other injured players return to the team.

Whether the reports are true or false, the chances of João Palhinha arriving at Anfield are almost zero. The most realistic route is to Germany.

Will the future come when the Portuguese midfielder joins Liverpool, defying prior expectations…?
