German national team dreams of Jurgen Klopp's appointment as head coach from March 2025 Transfers

Jurgen Klopp will be relieved of his duties as Liverpool manager at the end of this season. He has built Borussia Dortmund into a powerhouse, revitalized a team that had been performing unsteadily at Anfield, and made a name for himself as one of the best managers in the world.

After leaving Liverpool, he also left the pitch for a while. It is expected that he will take a year off, but what will happen after that is anyone’s guess. The German national team, which has been interested in him for some time, intends to appoint him as national coach after a short period of time, SportBILD reported.

Julian Nagelsmann, who took over as national team coach following the dismissal of Hans-Dieter Flick, will be out of contract at the end of this year’s EURO 2024. His successor has not been decided, and the team is looking for a coach who can take charge of the full national team on a long-term basis.

The German Football Federation has long been preoccupied with Klopp. His name had been mentioned as a possible successor to Flick, but he was so focused on Liverpool that he never shook his head at the suggestion.

Nevertheless, the federation wants him to lead the World Cup 2026, leaving him in charge of the German national team from March 2025.

A contract from March 2025 would give him a 10-month grace period, allowing him to take some time off, as originally requested.

The German national team has been in poor form in recent years, and the appointment of a charismatic coach could transform the team. From a Liverpool supporter’s point of view, it could be a more supportive fit than taking charge at another club.
