With Feyenoord manager Arne Slot’s departure to Anfield approaching, Liverpool may be facilitated by reinforcements from the Netherlands. Quinten Timber and Dávid Hancko are reportedly among the targets.
Similarly, Dutch defender Lutsharel Geertruida,who plays for the Rotterdam-based club, is another player rumoured to be of interest from Liverpool, a defender who can also play at centre-back, while his main position is right-back.
The plan to bring Trent Alexander-Arnold up to full strength in midfield, with Conor Bradley in charge of that position, is also on the cards, but a Dutch journalist has hinted that there is more than a 50% chance of Geertruida going to Liverpool, and that a move could happen.

“He’s on the radar and has done a fantastic job in the Dutch national team and in the Champions League, he’s a guy who is the best fit for the Premier League physically of all Feyenoord players.”

“At least thirty million[euros]. Feyenoord could sell him last year for 25 million [to RB Leipzig], the club did not.”
“He now has a one-year contract left, I think a good amount of money has to be put on the table.”

Born in Rotterdam, Feyenoord’s hometown, he has been a member of the club’s academy since the 2012/13 season, and after being promoted to the first team in 2018, he has so far scored 22 goals and provided 10 assists in 195 games, proving he can be a threat in attack as well as defensively.
He also won the Eredivisie and it’s a good time for him to step up from his long-time club. With his contract coming to an end in June 2025, this could be the last chance for his club to get a transfer fee.
