With Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz all being linked with a move, Liverpool are looking at young forwards who could succeed Egyptian King, with various types of attackers on the shortlist.

A centre forward and a left winger are also reported as targets, but the top priority is a left-handed right winger. Names such as Belgian international Johan Bakayoko and Portuguese international Pedro Neto have been floated, but there has also been interest in players who are familiar with new coach Arne Slot.

According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are interested in acquiring 19-year-old FW Yankuba Minté, who joined Feyenoord on loan from Newcastle United last season, and for around £40 million, his club may reluctantly accept the offer.

He moved to England from Odense BK in the summer of 2023 and was sent straight on loan to the Netherlands. He then scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 37 games through the Eredivisie and Champions League.

The young winger also made his debut for the Gambia national team in September 2023, but still lacks experience.

Even if he joins Liverpool at this stage, it is highly unlikely that he will be able to compete with Mohamed Salah for a place, and he will spend more time on the bench.

If that is the case, it would be ideal for him to return to Newcastle and play more time on the pitch. Will Liverpool really make a move to secure the 19-year-old winger…?
