I am happy to be in Liverpool...Alexis Mac Allister talks about life at Anfield Team

Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister joined Liverpool from Brighton last summer and has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 46 appearances this season.

His great performances have made him the best addition to the squad this season.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who will be a mainstay in midfield from next season onwards, lamented the fact that he only worked with Jurgen Klopp for one year, but said he brought confidence and taught him a lot of things.

“At one point we gave each other a hug and he told me that it was a shame that we had only shared a year, but it gave me a lot of confidence for the future and everything that comes,”

“He told me what I knew, which was that I was in the right club to continue growing.”

Liverpool, with new manager Arne Slot, may make minor changes to their formation and style of play. Positional changes are also rumoured for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah.

Furthermore, with reports circulating that Real Madrid, who are moving into a new era after the retirement of German midfielder Toni Kroos, are interested in the Argentine midfielder, the player has stated that he is happy playing at Anfield.

“Everything works well, it is not a club with big egos and everyone tries to help you as much as they can.”

“On the field everything is different, because everything can be very nice outside, but you have to perform on the inside. I have had to play in various positions and I enjoyed it a lot, I am happy to be in a club as big as Liverpool.”
